A Blink of a Moment

This exhibition uses the emotions of momentary memories as a lens,
highlighting the chromatic explorations and practices of three Chinese artists:
Zhu Chenwei, Nhozagri, and Jing Yan.

In the fast-paced modern society, we are often so consumed by the demands of daily life that we overlook those precious “blinks of a moment” meant to be cherished. As time flows onward, a new generation of artists has moved beyond replicating reality’s contours. Instead, they employ pigments and diverse mediums to delve into the undercurrents of consciousness, retracing fleeting instants—not as nostalgia for the past, but as a profound act of preservation.

This March, The Peninsula Beijing Gallery partners once again with artnow and Ez Gallery to present the spring exhibition A Blink of a Moment. Centering on the emotional resonance of transient memories, the show features three Chinese artists—Zhu Chenwei, Nhozagri, and Jing Yan—and their chromatic explorations. Through color as their language, they deconstruct memory’s linear narrative, reclaiming those ephemeral yet luminous moments obscured by rationality.
